### Author Biography

**Uri Shulevitz** has won the Caldecott Medal for _The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship_, written by Arthur Ransome, and three Caldecott Honors for _The Treasure_, _Snow_, and _How I Learned Geography_. His other books include _One Monday Morning_, _Dawn_, _So Sleepy Story_, and the instructional guide _Writing with Pictures: How to Write and Illustrate Children's Books_. He lives in New York City.
