### Author Biography

**Alex Timbers** is a Tony Award-winning writer and director and the recipient of Golden Globe, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Awards, as well as two OBIE and Lucille Lortel Awards. His many Broadway credits include _Moulin Rouge!_, _Beetlejuice_, David Byrne's _American Utopia_, _The Pee-wee Herman Show_, Nick Kroll and John Mulaney's _Oh Hello on Broadway_, _Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson_, and Disney's _Peter and the Starcatcher_. For television, he co-created Amazon's _Mozart in the Jungle_ and has directed numerous concert specials, including the Emmy-winning _John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous at Radio City_ for Netflix. Alex lives in Times Square with his partner Rebekah and three mischievous parakeets.

**Alisa Coburn** is the illustrator of more than a dozen books for children including _Hello Door_ and the Billie's Adventures series. Before coming to children's books, she worked in advertising, broadcasting, and animation. She now lives in the picturesque English countryside finding fresh ways to weave narrative and design together.
