### Author Biography

Jeanette Winter is a celebrated picture book creator whose acclaimed works include _The Snow Man_; _The Little Owl & the Big Tree: A_ _Christmas Story_; _Oil_; _The Secret Project_; and _Diego_, all written by Jonah Winter, and her own _Biblioburro: A True Story_ _from Colombia_; _Nasreen's Secret School: A True Story from Afghanistan_; and _Our House Is on Fire: Greta Thunberg's Call_ _to Save the Planet_, which has been translated into twenty-one languages.

Alexis Romay is the author of two novels and two books of poetry. His essays and opinion pieces have been published by _NBC News_, _World Literature Today_, Museum of Modern Art, _El Nuevo Herald_, _Latino Rebels_, _Hypermedia Magazine_, _Replicante_, _Letras Libres_, and other outlets. He has written lyrics for Paquito D'Rivera and translated over forty picture books, as well as novels by Ana Veciana-Suarez, Margarita Engle, Miguel Correa Mujica, Meg Medina, Stuart Gibbs, and Adrianna Cuevas. He lives in New Jersey with his family.
