### Author Biography

Ellen Tarlow writes stories for children, including the picture books _Looking for Smile_ and _Becoming Blue_. She has been a teacher and for many years worked as an editor of early childhood classroom materials. In that job, she got to create hundreds of stories for young children. Now, she is excited to work on stories of her own. Ellen lives in the Hudson Valley with her husband, David, a painter.

Julien Chung has been a professional designer and illustrator for over twenty-five years. He is the illustrator of picture books such as _Becoming Blue_ by Ellen Tarlow; _Vrooom, Vrooom!_ by Mary Lyn Ray; and _365_ by Miranda Paul. He has created licensed characters for brands worldwide and works for _La Presse_ newspaper in Montreal, Quebec. He lives in Montreal with his wife and a lovebird named Cookie.
