### Author Biography

Creator of _The Sandman_ and one of comics' most accomplished writers, Neil Gaiman is also the _New York Times_ best-selling author of the novels _Anansi Boys_, _American Gods_, _Stardust_ and C_oraline,_ as well as the short story collections _M is for Magic_ and _Smoke and Mirrors_ and the multimedia creation _Neverwhere._ He also co-wrote the Jim Henson Productions film _MirrorMask_ with longtime collaborator Dave McKean, illustrator of the Gaiman-written graphic novels _Mr. Punch,_ _Violent Cases_ and _Black Orchid_. Among his many awards are the Hugo, the Nebula, the Eisner, the Harvey, the Bram Stoker and the World Fantasy Award. Originally from England, Gaiman now lives in the United States.
