### Author Biography

**KALLIE GEORGE** is an author, editor and creative writing teacher. She has written numerous books for early readers, including the first five books in the Anne chapter book series (_Anne Arrives_, _Anne's Kindred Spirits_, _Anne's School Days_, _Anne's Tragical Tea Party_ and _Anne Dares_), The Magical Animal Adoption Agency series and The Heartwood Hotel series, as well as numerous picture books, such as _Goodnight, Anne_; _If I Couldn't Be Anne_; _Merry Christmas, Anne_; _The Secret Fawn_ and _I Am A Meadow Mermaid_. Kallie currently lives in Vancouver, BC.

**ABIGAIL HALPIN** is an illustrator living in southern Maine, a few miles from the sea. Her illustrations are a blend of traditional and digital media, and she has illustrated many beautiful children's books, including _Finding Wild_, _Fort-Building Time_ and _Itzhak: A Boy Who Loved the Violin_. Her parents gave her a copy of _Anne of Green Gables_ for her eighth birthday, which still sits on her bookcase in her studio, and her work for the Anne chapter book series was influenced by her teen memories of Prince Edward Island as one of the most beautiful, magical spots on the planet.
