Richard Jackson was a long-time editor at Atheneum Books for Young Readers and the critically acclaimed author of a number of books, including _Have A Look, Says Book._, illustrated by Kevin Hawkes, which _Publishers Weekly_ proclaimed "a shoe-in for the bedtime rotation;" _All Ears, All Eyes_, illustrated by Katherine Tillotson; and _This Beautiful Day_, illustrated by Suzy Lee, which received three starred reviews.
