### Author Biography

**Spencer Bailey** is the co-founder of The Slowdown, co-host of the Time Sensitive podcast, and author of _In Memory Of: Designing Cultural Memorials_ (Phaidon). He has written for publications such as _The New York Times Magazine_, _Fortune_, _Newsweek_, and _Town & Country_. From 2013 to 2018, Bailey was the editor-in-chief of _Surface_ magazine. He lives in New York City.
