### Author Biography

**Lérè Adéyẹmí**, PhD (Introduction) is Professor of Yorùbá Literature and Culture in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, University of Ilọrin, Nigeria. He obtained his first, second and PhD degrees from the same university between 1988 and 2003 and was head of his department from 2005 to 2006, and 2008 to 2009. His areas of specialization are Yorùbá literature and culture, particularly oral traditions and folklores. He has published scholarly articles and textbooks in the area of Yoruba studies and was the former Associate Editor of _Ilọrin Journal of Linguistics, Literature and Culture_ (IJLLC). Adéyẹmí is also a published creative writer. His most recent novel is entitled _Oͅba Méͅwàá Ìgbà Méͅwàá_ (2020, _Ten Kings Ten Epochs_). His other creative works are: _Òͅdájú Ni Wóͅn_ (2018, _They Are Ruthless_), _Ìsͅèlú Onírèké \`Ogè_ (2014, _The Politics of Sweetness and Bitterness_), _Kọ́rọ̀ Tó Dayọ̀_ (2011, _Before the Dawn of Joy_), _Kò Sáyè Láàfin_ (2008, _No Vacancy in the Palace_), _Ọ̀gá Nìyáà Mi_ (2005, _My Mother is Great_) and _Àkùkọ Gàgàrà_ (2001, _The Overmighty Cock_).

**Jake Jackson** has written, edited and contributed to over 20 books. Related works include studies of Babylonian creation myths, the philosophy to time and William Blake's use of mythology in his visionary literature.
