### Author Biography

**Boni Ashburn** is a mother of twins and the bestselling author of _I Had a Favorite Dress_, _The Fort That Jack Built_, _Hush, Little Dragon_, and _Over at the Castle_. She lives in Houghton, Michigan.

**John Nez** has illustrated over 60 books for young readers, from picture books to historical folk tales. At the Parsons School of Design, Nez studied with Maurice Sendak. He now lives in Seattle.
