Amy-Jane Beer is a biologist and writer. She has written more than 30 books about science and natural history including _Cool Nature_ and _The A-Z of Wildlife Watching_. She has also edited a number of wildlife publications including _Animals, Animals, Animals_ and _Wildlife World_ magazine. Beer is a Country Diarist for _The Guardian_, and feature writer for _BBC Wildlife_ magazine, _BBC Countryfile_, and the _Yorkshire Post_.
