### Author Biography

Formerly the music editor at the _Dallas Observer_ \-- and, prior to that, a janitor at an elementary school in West, Texas -- Zac Crain is senior editor of _D Magazine_. He has written about the explosion in West, Texas; legendary country singer Charley Pride; Tony Dorsett's struggle with life after football; and imaginary meetings with a mosquito and a Pegasus. He also popularized the phrase, I see you, Big German! Crain is the author of 2009's _Black Tooth Grin: The High Life, Good Times, and Tragic End of Dimebag Darrell Abbott_. He lives in Dallas.
