### Author Biography

Susi Gott Séguret was born and raised in the woods of the Appalachian Mountains, in Western North Carolina. During her 20-year trek around Europe spent honing her culinary expertise, Susi remained connected to nature, hunting mushrooms in the _forêt d'Orleans_ and bouldering in the _forêt de Fontainebleau_. Today, Susi leads foraging expeditions in the Blue Ridge and teaches others how to blend the elegance of French cuisine with the simplicity of mountain ingredients. She is the author of _Appalachian Appetite_, _Child of the Woods,_ and _Cooking with Truffles_.
